On 14th of June, 2024, the National President of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mr. Pretty Okafor, graciously welcomed the Canadian Ambassador.
His Excellency James Christoff, and his esteemed delegation to the prestigious PMAN Music House, located at 4B Hammed Kasumu Street, Chevy View Estate.
The delegation included Senior Trade Commissioner *Dindembolo-Zaya Kuyena,* Trade Commissioner *Temitayo Dada,* and *Mr. Mykel Parish,* the Owner of Nollywood Travel Film Festival, along with his team.
Other notable attendees were *Christopher Ozoemena,* *Calista Okonronkwo,* *Oluwafemi Olamilekan Sodimu (DJ Boombastic),* and *Akinpelu Gboyega Sotunde (Alias: Kriskros).
The central topic of discussion during this momentous meeting was the highly anticipated Afrobeats and Nollywood Awards, co-founded by Mykel Parish & Pretty Okafor.Â
The Afrobeats and Nollywood Awards are envisioned as a grand platform designed to celebrate and honor the exceptional excellence and boundless creativity within the Afrobeats music and Nollywood film industries.
These awards are poised to recognize and reward the outstanding achievements of artists, actors, directors, producers, and other creative individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of these dynamic and influential industries.
Canada has been selected as the distinguished host country for this landmark event.
